In the beginning, I am riding the wave. So, here we are, the first day of NaNo. I spent until midnight agonizing over an opening, my notes, the validity of my idea. Wow - now all I have to do is write the darn thing.
Day 1 - 3000 words to go.
For me, this usually means 3 chapters. Let's hope this is the case because I think I might throw up, just a little. Of course, the excitement of this new project should keep me going for a while - & by a while, I mean it better keep streaming for the next 30 days.
I have buddies, my family has been warned. Nothing left but to hit the cleft. And to wish everyone the best of writing luck!!!!
Happy Writing,
Patti
Go Patti go! I look forward to seeing your word count rise. Keep riding that wave! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenn. Day 1 - not so bad. I think the plotting thing is really working for me because I crossed the 3ooo today. Tomorrow however may be a different story!!!

I'm surprised you have the time to blog, Patti. 3000 words for me is huge, taking so much of my energy. If I had to do that for thirty days, I would be a messed. Good luck. I bow to your writing stimulant.

Congrats on passing 3000! I just finished 2567 and felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders! Here's hoping it lasts for both of us.
ReplyDeleteShellie,
ReplyDeleteThat writing stimulant is high winds and lots of coffee!!!
Lisa,
Congrats to you!! I have to say I was mighty impressed with myself for all of two seconds. Then the reality of the pace set in. But, no tears yet. And, I'll toast to continued success for both of us.
Thank you both.
